Our Journey Jiu Jitsu Youth Program is designed for children aged 7 years and older who are ready to develop their Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu skills while building confidence, discipline, and resilience.
As students grow, classes become more technical and encourage independent thinking through problem-solving, movement, and structured training. Every lesson challenges students to improve while supporting them in a positive and respectful environment.
Our Youth Program is suitable for children aged 7+, regardless of experience or fitness level.
This program is ideal for:
Every child learns at their own pace, with coaches providing guidance and encouragement every step of the way.
As students progress through the Youth Program, they develop both technical Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu skills and valuable life skills.
Classes focus on:
Our structured classes help children become more capable, both on the mats and in everyday life.
Our Youth Program includes both Gi and No-Gi classes, giving students the opportunity to experience different styles of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Training in both helps children become well-rounded grapplers by developing technical skills, movement, adaptability, and confidence across different training environments.
Technical Development
Students build strong Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fundamentals while developing more advanced techniques, movement, and problem-solving skills.
Character & Leadership
Training encourages discipline, accountability, respect, and perseverance—qualities that benefit students both on and off the mats.
Supportive Team Environment
Students train alongside teammates who motivate one another, creating a positive culture where everyone can continue improving together.
Blue Card Certified Coaches
All coaches working with children hold current Queensland Blue Cards and are committed to providing a safe and positive learning environment.

Not at all. Our classes are beginner-friendly while also providing challenges for experienced students.
Competition is optional. Students can enjoy training recreationally or work towards competition if that's a goal they choose to pursue.
As children grow, classes place a greater emphasis on technical development, problem-solving, responsibility, and personal growth while maintaining a fun and supportive atmosphere.
Absolutely. We welcome children of all abilities and understand that every child learns differently.
Our coaches take the time to get to know each student and work closely with parents to create the best possible experience. While every child is unique, many children on the autism spectrum enjoy the structured routine, clear instruction, and supportive environment that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu provides.
If your child has any specific needs or considerations, we encourage you to contact us before your first class so we can discuss how to best support their journey.
